Charitable Bequests

Join WPFW’s Legacy Listener Circle - Be a part of the station’s future
Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact.  Most of us do this through a will or trust to ensure that our estate passes to our loved ones, through the form of a bequest, in the amounts we desire.  Did you know that you can also implement the same type of giving through your estate plan to benefit the charities you hold dear, like WPFW?   Planned giving is generally a simple process and the effect you can have on the future of WPFW is profound and will keep Jazz and Justice going for the foreseeable future.

There are many ways to make a planned gift and common ways include through a will or trust, from a donor advised fund, gifting life insurance or making gifts from your IRA or retirement plan.  Each way can offer current income tax and/or estate tax benefits.

One of the easiest and most common ways is to make a designation in your will or living trust, known as a bequest. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.  The impact one can make on the future of WPFW radio by leaving a bequest to benefit the radio station can be profound.  Here is sample language you can use when your attorney is drafting your will or trust.  We are honored you are considering WPFW in your estate plans.
